You are right, it's not there yet.

But the problem is that once it IS in Connecticut, you will be one of millions of people trying to get food and the other essentials of life. And they won't be there. If you wait until the pandemic starts to prepare you will have waited too long.

If there isn't any treatment for panflu, do you want to have to be out foraging for food? *I* sure don't! The military trained me how to forage for food, but I have to say I sure prefer a nice loaf of wheat bread over boiled cattails......

I am allergic to most packaged foods because they contain soy. But I am giving your suggestions some thought, thank you!

I will still stock up on food thats a given anyway incase of any emergency popping up...

However i'm still standing by my belief that it's govt. made. Something doesn't come out of nothing. I also most certainly don't trust the center for disease after all they're the reason Africa has an AID's problem and we have a Cancer problem...

i'll stop my rant now, but never the less stocking up on food is always a good idea and I also reccommend trying to fast! it could save you some food in the long run if it did happen...

Just my oppinion after all...

Raven - I fasted when i was younger. It was a great experience.

Our great state will not allow the towns to purchase Tamiflu at the reduced federal price because they feel the richer towns will unfairly buy it. So in a nutshell, we dont have enough tamiflu to go around. When your kids get sick you will not have access to state stockpiled tamiflu. Nice eh?

Interesting. I only read the 1st 2 posts but wondering where I was when all this happened.

I don't remember another flu scare last year.

I guess this one is just typical then.
