I am surprised that no one posted a reply to either of the posts on this thread. The OP has not been back to this forum since they posted originally and the second poster appears to have moved elsewhere (Massachusetts) as well.

I think most towns in Connecticut do a decent job dealing with children with learning disabilities. Some may be better than others but not significantly from what I have seen posted here. Since there are so many things involved in a decision on where to move to, I would say it is best to look for towns with good schools that is convenient to your job. IF you give us more information, we can help you look for towns to consider. Jay

I am originally from Stamford. I moved to Trumbull 20 years ago. I know quite a few people from Stamford that moved to Fairfield and Trumbull for special needs children.

Trumbull has a school devoted to special needs children. It was the first of it's kind.

Trumbull also has the Kennedy Center which serves the special needs population so there are extra services besides the school system. They win many awards and I have read from time to time they are the best in the state for special needs services. Fairfield is close to Trumbull so there are many special needs clients from Fairfield that go to the Kennedy Center also.
