bemn is on a distinguished road
Smile Redding or Ridgefield

Hi all. I'm trying to get some input on these two areas. I know they are both supposed to be very nice places to live and from what I see I like them both. Can anyone give me some factors regarding why they would choose to live in one area vs. the other? I know Redding is more rural than Ridgefield and I know both school systems are supposed to be good as well as that both areas offer nice housing options with land....any input would be much appreciated!!!

As a realtor in the area, you can not go wrong with each town. Redding is a little bit more expensive , not by much, than Ridgefield, and would a further commute to NYC and all of the shopping is about 20 minutes away. Ridgefield is a little bit more built up, but still has a country sort of feel. Ridgefield has some shopping on it's nice downtown and some stores on rt 7 and a shopping center (Copps Hill Plaza). Taxes are about equal in both towns, about $9500 a year for a $799,000 home. You will get about the same amount of land in both towns.
