I am looking for a nice neighborhood, with a walkable downtown, preferably. My husband works in the medical field, and so we can pretty much move anywhere. I want a decent town, nice people, with a small town feel, no sprawl. Is there anywhere nice in CT with homes under $300k that I can live in peace with my hubby and my dogs? Also nice if there was a nearby dog park. Thanks

Medical jobs tend to be centered on old cities and there are many towns that fit this description. You might find a small home in West Hartford, Wethersfield or even Glastonbury that would be good for you. Old Wethersfield is beautiful with a lot of wonderful old houses, It does not have a lot of shopping though. Middletown might be another consideration. The New Haven area has a lot of medical jobs. Towns there like Milford, Branford and guilford may have homes in your price range. Also East Have and West Haven, though the schools in these towns are not known to be the best. Hope this helps. Jay
