Default Affordable housing in Shelton, Derby, Ansonia or Seymour... have any suggestions?

I am moving back to CT from VT, to be closer to family. Yet the problem is affordable housing. I'm looking for an appartment, studio or one bedroom. I am aware of the perils of all the towns mentioned, as I have grown up in the Valley and moving home is right at this time. The price would be nice between $500 to $800 for a small place.... any suggests?

Check out craigslist.org for apartments. I'm not sure how long you've been away from CT but the Valley has now become a bedroom community for lower Fairfield County commuters - the face of the towns is changing, beginning with the redevelopment of downtown Derby. Good luck
