The hotel will include amenities like a rooftop pool and lounge with views of Downtown North and Hartford skylines and the State Capitol dome, according to a news release about the project.

Nice!

I'm not personally a fan of the Hard Rock brand but this is a big score for Hartford. Any time there is news of more cranes coming to town, the better. I was downtown this weekend with out of town guests and they loved it* and couldn't believe downtown wasn't more lively. Hopefully Hard Rock helps!

*Dinner out, a show at TheaterWorks, post-show drinks on Pratt Street and they were thoroughly charmed.

I've definitely noticed a turn out in downtown within the past 5 years. More foot traffic and business at Pratt Street are popping up. Downtown will be even better once the Yard Goats stadium is completed, UCONN is moved in at the old Hartford Times Building, and the Hard Rock Cafe. This has probably been the busiest time in Hartford regarding construction and new developments since Adrian's Landing back in the early 2000's. Hartford has so much going on right now. Within the next 5-10 years, the old WFSB site will "most likely" have a new building, Interstate 84 will be redone, and maybe the XL Center will get that 250 million dollar facelift. Hopefully, Bronin will keep up the momentum. The people of Hartford look up to him.

Maybe they should build the Casino in Hartford instead of on the outskirts.

If I have to participate in a marathon that long, I'll most likely cheat and take CT Fastrak

The only issue is where would they put it? Sure there's a lot of open parking lots but that's still not enough room to house a casino. IMO It'll be a lot cheaper to put it in East Hartford because they already have the foundation and structure to work with.

That is so cool! Totally excited for this. Couple more investors like this and Hartford will become very cool.
