Just thought of something........ with on shore flow and clouds around, nighttime lows will be on fire. Then again, everyone will be warm even without clouds I guess. lol

Check out the departure lows Friday.

Forecast for Milford. I'm hoping the sun comes out more than thought.

Max temps Thursday-Friday

Forecast totals

For curiousity, I went on Chicago's NWS site and found out that while historic, it's not unprecdented. Strange winter they are having though:

- the 17.7" they had in December actually is in the top 20 Decembers (but not top 10)

- the 0.6" in January was their 6th lowest January total (records back to 1885....interestingly only one of the 5 above them was after 1950)

- They have a trace for February. For the entire month, it has happened twice before (in 1987 and 1998). Five other Februaries have had less than an inch for the month.

Nice stats. Last 1" snowfall was over 66 days ago now. A record. Never happened before there.

If you look at this seasons warm records, they're all in Bridgeport. Bridgeport always has the records. . . while places like Hartford and Meriden stay normal.

Has anyone else noticed that records are always a-breakin' at Bridgeport? Something might be fishy with their instruments, or perhaps the location in which data is being gathered is flawed in some way. The meteorologist Fred Campagna from WTNH has brought this up. . . what do y'all think?

And it begins. Last time I had any blue or sun showing was 23hrs ago Tuesday 11am. Wonder how long we go.

Also.... Winter weather not over.

GFS6z for Danbury. See it?

Cold Shot Sunday-Monday. Quick warmth Wednesday-Thursday next week. Then longer lasting cold maybe snowstorm?

Looks like the front on the 1st bringing rain is the changing pattern to cold? We'll see. I don't buy it being long lasting.

Thanks to December, their seasonal total won't be an all-time lowest though.....if I read the page that gave season to season totals right, if no more measurable snow fell it would be I believe 4th or 5th lowest. No pattern as to when those previous lower snow total winters were either, some were recent some in distant past.

What I've noticed that's really strange is that on several occasions (especially with high temperatures but once or twice even with low temperatures) that BDR has been the warmest spot in the entire tri-state area which is really unusual and almost never happens (that is, warmer than even the NYC weather stations). And on one occasion I remember even Lonnie Quinn of CBS 2 NY News even noting that. I do think something fishy is going on there.
