Buckingham in Avon
Does anyone know if there are home owners association fees for Buckingham in Avon? If so, what are they?
Are there any opinions out there about the neighborhood? Good or bad

There is a $98 monthly fee, which I believe covers snow plowing of the roads, general landscaping in the community and maybe (?) trash. You are responsible for your own yard maintenance.
I know a few families that moved to the development and they love it. Lots of activity in the neighborhood, close to the town amenities, and close to outdoor hiking trails, etc.

Landfill?
Buckingham looks great, but I think it is next to the Avon landfill. I'm not sure what is dumped there, but you might want to ask about it.

Buckingham in Avon
I don't know if you are still looking at this neighborhood, but I can tell you that the fee has been reduced to $95/month and it does not cover trash pickup. Also, the landfill is nearby the development; however, it has been closed for many years. It is used as a transfer station now. My wife and children have lived in the community for 2.5 years now and have been extremely happy here. If you have children there are dozens of children in the neighborhood and most of the people who live in the development are very friendly with one another. The Easter Bunny and Santa Claus both visit around the holidays and other community parties is held around Halloween and a block party in September. I hope this was helpful. Good luck with your move.

But commuting to downtown will take at least 45 miuntes if you happen to work in there. Also, almost all the lots with price lower than $600k are not flat. But good thing about it is that you have walk out basement.

Let me put it to you this way...nobody swims or catches trout at Countryside Park anymore.

I'm not an expert, but it seems the prices at Buckingam are a little low for Avon, I'm not sure why.
