I actually just noticed some foliage yesterday as I was driving home from work. Not much at all, just a small amount on a few trees along I-91. It's hard to believe it's just around the corner. I love fall, but yet I hate fall - because I don't like what comes after it!

Wow, Ohio does looks good in autumn. Its almost identical to south Florida.

Huh... you're the first I've ever heard have a negative view of fall. Wonder how many more feel as you do, but just don't mention it.

You do realize that the same thing happens in Ohio as it does in New England don't you? The trees turn color and the leaves drop off. Jay

I think you may have meant to quote nep321. He is the one that made the comment on not liking fall. He is a "unique" person so him not liking a season that most people love is understandable. Jay

I'll say it... forget an early change this year. I'll go with normal or even late if this warm pattern continues into September which it might.

Its ashame because its been so dry that a cool pattern would of gave us some vivid colors. Now not sure. Warm and dry doesnt really enhance it. Warm and wet then cool and dry would.

So my prediction is normal change and bland colors. We'll see. That means peak should be end of October for us

I'm really looking forward to autumn. Having moved from a condo to a 2.5 acre property surrounded by a nature preserve, I'm really expecting some great photo ops on my property alone. Autumn is part of what living in New England is all about!

Bring on the hoodie sweatshirt weather!

Nep should take some photos of Ohio's foliage since he will get it before we do, according to the map Cambium posted. Seems that Ohio gets cold (and possibly colder) much faster than in CT.

Oh, the irony. lol

Yup, and take note the higher elevations of the Gulf coast and even low elevations of TN get it the same as us.

Its pretty interesting to see the posts in the weather forum when they start changing colors. Makes you realize the power of the ocean.

Today was prime example how Mississippi was drier and cooler than us. That air from Canada is like a straight shot south and the atlantic gives reaistance.
