I only go once a year but I would miss them. What I am wondering is if the GM wants to stay, and obviously the city doesn't want an empty stadium sitting around, who wants them to leave? Maybe they can't afford the rent, but the article doesn't say that.

Good riddance, maybe they can get a legit affiliated A or AA team with real prospects in there like the Goats.
Heard the Sound Tigers are possibly moving as well, over the pond to the Nassau Coliseum once it's renovated and downsized to 9000 seat capacity.

If they can't support this low budget league, no A or AA will touch them. Bridgeport needs to keep both teams, Bluefish and Sound Tigers.

Depends - a Yankee, Met, or Red Sox affiliate will surpass Bluefish performance in attendance by leaps and bounds.

Doubt it. West Haven was a Yankees affiliate. Didn't work out well. Ct simply does not support FFC or Western New Haven county minor league teams. A host of failures at several sites.

Probably right, when you have the real thing an hour or less down the street in the Bronx.

Sure, I remember the West Haven team as a kid. A few prominent names played there.

Be cool to have a Triple A team in Bridgeport. Hartford has the teams, concert venue, convention center, and better football stadium. However, so far Bridgeport takes Hartford on best arena, baseball stadium, and best access to the city.

AAA requires 10,000 permanent seats plus true deluxe suite style boxes, a better press booth, and a host of amenities not in that ballpark.

Never will happen I know that and if the Islanders minor leauge team do leave will be hood for Hartford. Not sure what that'll do for Bridgeport.
