Question Looking for an OB/GYN west of Hartford

Hello!

I've just relocated to the Litchfield area and am looking for an OB/GYN affiliated with John Dempsey (UConn Health). I am looking for someone more "laid back" and female. I've called UConn and they are booked out for almost 6 months! I secured an appointment in Farmington, but the Dr. is on-call for East Hartford and they said if there is a labor, I'm out of luck. They do not have PAs at UConn. I would prefer a Dr. that is more available, in a comfortable office.

Can anyone make any recommendations in Canton, Farmington, Simsbury, Avon, Burlington? My PCP is at UConn so I'd like my OB/GYN to be affiliated with that hospital as well. I've noticed that many are affiliated with Hartford Hospital or St. Francis. Any thoughts? I'm not tied to UConn, it is just a good location for me.

Farmington is about 20 minutes closer to me (than Hartford), that's why I would like to go to UConn Health Center. However, I'm just picking people based on their credentials - can't tell a person's personality from the website.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I sent you a DM with name and phone number of my doctor who has offices in both Farmington and Avon and is affiliated with UConn Health Center.
