nep - one of these days you'll fit into the median (older) age range and it won't matter to you anymore.

The Northeastern USA is the most correctly (imho) developed areas of the country and it comes at a cost for various reasons (good and bad) depending on what angle one looks at it.

So you make your own happiness my friend no matter where you are and I wouldn't micro-stat the age thing as there's NO total utopia anywhere imo.

So older people live here because of family and or its "completeness" of venues without going a great distance like one would have to do with many other areas of the country.

I think if CT could generate more business. Increase full time employment by cutting taxes to businesses or giving them tax deals by how many people they hire. Lower taxes in CT and lower property tax in more populated area's like Bridgeport/Waterbury/Hartford. Long shot improve the school systems of New Haven, Bridgeport, Waterbury. Off lower property taxes to owner's who own rental property and lower rent. Lower college tuition. I think then CT be more attractive to younger people to live here.

If New Haven had more job prospects and less of an image of being heavily crime ridden more people would move there. Right now, there arent really that many appealing cities in CT and I think Stamford is becoming very expensive.

I think New Haven has the most culture and things to offer. I like that they have 2 big music venues there. Stamford's appeal is its proximity to NYC but Stamford is quickly becoming as expensive as manhattan.

Anything west of Darien is too expensive in cost of property. New Haven is a great city, but the way roads are designed causes way too much congestion, area's of New Haven are not very safe, and difficulty finding a place to park in NH without paying a premium.

Definitely think the area has a lot to offer fan of the East Shore area.

Is there any plausible explanation as to why CT is the 7th oldest state in the country?

Does CT appeal to young people at all? Why or why not?

Why is New England in general the oldest aged region in the nation?!
40 is right around the corner for you, you'll fit right in. Better hurry up and get life in order before it's too late

That's very expensive to do on a regular basis though.
