Good luck in traffic guys
Yes, it just took us 30 min to get back from lunch 3 miles away across Manchester. I've never seen anything like it.

Its not that more people are moving in causing the traffic. Its more people that never had a car, and tired of ready busses ect are getting cars. Quite frankly half of them shouldnt have cars because they know nothing about driving but still managed to get a dl

So today I was down in Fairfield today and saw something that made me so angry. I was on the ramp from Route 8 Northbound to the Merritt Parkway northbound. I was behind a burgundy Ford Edge with New Jersey plates (STORK D) on the ramp and there was another car merging onto the ramp from Nichols Avenue. That car was clearly in front of the Edge as it was coming on but the Edge speeded up and cut this car off. They had to swerve into the shoulder. I was so annoyed that when I finally caught up to the Edge I beeped and shook my fist at the blond driving but she seemed clueless.

Imagine my anger then when I was behind this same Edge in Wallingford and someone rolled down their window and threw liter out their window. I immediately hit my horn hard and flashed my lights to let them know I saw what. A mile or so later I was able to pull up next to her again but this time I stayed next to for a second, beeped my horn again and made sure she knew I had seen it and was not pleased. She slowed down and I kept going so I did not see her again. I am seriously thinking of posting her license plate on Facebook in hopes that it will get back to her and learn to not pull that here. Jay

I know exactly what on ramp you're talking about too. The crazy thing is that there's no yield sign so it's just a free for all. I'm surprised more accidents don't happen and I'm sure the blonde driver assumed they had a yield sign so she sped up to retaliate. All in all though road rage isn't worth it at all. The only thing separating you and the blonde driver is steel and glass windows so there's nothing you wouldn't say to them. I would just let it go. It may seem like posting it online will do something but this stuff happens every minute throughout the day. On the other hand, have you considered buying a dashcam? Videos don't lie and I've gotten out of 2 accidents that weren't my fault and the other driver claimed it was. As soon as I handed over the footage to my insurance company the case was closed. I was a victim of insurance fraud and I was saved by a security camera. If that wasn't there I'd probably would've been sued. If you were the car that nearly got hit by the Ford Edge, wouldn't you want some form of evidence?

It's maddening but you should never honk your horn or make gestures to other people on the road. That's road rage and can go south pretty quickly.

Re: "learn to not pull that here": clearly you miss all the CT drivers who regularly do the exact same thing as this woman did. The amount of selfish, rude and dangerous drivers I see with CT license plates is extremely high.

I probably would've called the cops on you if you started doing that crap to me....
