Sarasmiles is on a distinguished road
I grew up in Ridgefield and I agree with Yankee Mom. I wish I could move back there as it was a good experience and I'm the product of a very good education. My best friend is a teacher in Ridgefield and I could get her take on the schools for you. My other girlfriend recently moved from Ridgefield to Redding as they felt that Ridgefield was becoming too "New York" with an influx of entitled kids. And she felt like it was one of those towns where you better keep the BMW washed. Just one opinion. It is a lovely town with lots of history and character. Not sure about the hippie-factor in any part of CT but we do have natural food stores around. Lived and worked in Newtown and it is a great little town, too. Not as much downtown to walk around as Ridgefield, though. My brother lives in Woodbury and loves it. A bit more rural than Ridgefield.
