Are these downtown workers? Where did you get these numbers? I find them a bit hard to believe since I think Stamford does not have many more jobs than that in the entire city. Not saying they are wrong just saying they do not sound quite right. Jay

Drove down the CT coast towards New London. Ended up in the Waterfront district of New London. New London is changing and becoming awesome.

Still not sure where the reference is from. According to the Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Hartford has a lot more than that. Jay

Does anyone know if New London has something similiar to the Shubert or Palace. Area was awesome with great apartments, history, and eats. Add in history sites and attractions. Train station and ferry area is nice. Only thing missing is more shopping no the mall is nearby, but stores in the area be good. You have mostly private colleges, but very few state colleges. Fiancé and I want to move out there, but limited in schools only one school offers an Associate nursing program and an accelerated BSN at Avery. ECSU should really look into setting up a nursing program and satellite campus in New London. Maybe another CC be great for the area.

You have Baseball, WNBA, and National Lacrosse near by in Norwich.

Think adding a comedy club to New London be a good idea as well.

I feel from Madison to Waterford very few jobs in healthcare. Fiancé and I were suprised there is not a hospital in the area, the three closest ones are about 30/40 minutes away. Also not many college's or a community college without driving really far.

We tried to go to this Thai place something of the Lazy Leopard Thai Cafe', but had trouble finding where to park. Needed more lights in the area as well. However, seems to be am abundance of Vietnamese and Thai restaurants in the area found another Thai place that was out of this world.
