You can park offsite for much less.

As for the commute, it will not be fun. There is no "reverse" traffic anymore once you hit Westport on 95s. It's stop and go until Greenwich. Definitely take the parkway instead.

Either way I'd happily pay the premium over schlepping luggage for hours and hours on public transportation.
UberX is quoting $109-138 one way for that trip, plus tolls I assume. So it might be about even as parking on-airport, depending on how long you are parking.

I am not sure about other's experiences, but I happened to travel to LaGuardia last year in July to drop my family. Friday afternoon.. took me 2.5 hrs in car from Cheshire CT. It was not fun.

Where? Any of the offsite places I've used or sen were $18/ plus. The only one which is occasionally cheaper is the Dollar Car Rental parking-- but their service is so hideous you couldn't pay me $18 a ay to park their again.

Take metro north to 125th st harlem (last stop BEFORE grand central) then switch to the M60 bus which goes to all terminals at LGA. Train ride is probably 90-100 minutes and bus is 45-60 minutes.

When you come back do the same in reverse.
I've rarely spent more than :35 minutes on the M60. Now it's an Express Bus with dedicated lanes until you leave Manhattan. Scan your metrocard at the bus stop BEFORE boarding.

I arranged last year to park at Comfort Inn-LGA for $12 a day, and they had a free shuttle to the terminal. Or, if you're going away for a long period of time, you can book a room there for about $99 AAA rate ($110ish standard rate) and park there for free.

Thanks-- Hadn't heard about that one.
