Arrow From IN to CT

Hi
I'm thinking of going to UConn for grad school and I was wondering about the living expenses as a student there, housing, transportation, etc. what's the monthly budget, affordable close to campus apartments, etc? all those sort of stuff, I live in Bloomington Indiana now and I was told that it's really expenssive to live in CT

Connecticut will be more costly then Indiana. Cost wise housing will be about double- if interested in costs for UCONN- and living expenses best thing to do is contact UCONN itself for on campus housing/living info for graduate students. Off campus housing in Mansfield CT and the surrounding area will run about $750 and up for 1 bedroom. On campus housing will be less then the private sector.

Eastern Connecticut is the cheapest area of the state to live- but it will still be higher then Bloomington.

Food costs will vary-depending on your diet. Gasoline runs currently about $3.10 a gallon for unleaded regular.
UCONN in Storrs is about 27 miles east of Hartford, the state capital, metro population 1.25 million, and about 47 miles west of Providence Rhode Island. The Connecticut coast on Long Island/Block Island sound to the south is about 40 miles or so.
