From Bradley it takes about 1.5 hours to get to the southern (NY area) of the state. Lots of people in Fairfield country use Bradley to save the hassle of battling the bridge traffic to the NY airports, which can often take more time getting to than going up to Bradley.

But there are no bridge issues with the White Plains/Westchester Airport, it's not that far from the Ct. border.

Yes...but you pay through the nose to fly out of there. Get a taste for the Fairfield-Westchester price inflation...lol.

Actually, not always. My wife was checking for flights to Florida later this year and White Plains was lowest she could find. Jay

JetBlue out of White Plains is cheaper than any area airport.
Bradley (with the exception of the occasional Southwest Air *Ding*) has always been more expensive than JFK, EWR, LGA and White Plains.
Boston is just too far for about two thirds of the state to be considered an option.

I don't see that at all. With the exception of ATL on Delta, BDL is usually cheap. I fly almost 75,000 miles a year and certainly don't think BDL is expensive.
Worth the extra $20 if you have to fly out of NYC if it is more expensive.

I think it depends on where you are flying and how many flights there are to that location. We have found that it is cheaper to fly to Orlando than to West Palm Beach out of Bradley because there are many more flights there. Sometimes it is just how you hit it. Lets face it, no one has ever been able to figure out how airlines price their tickets. Never made sense to me. Jay

I fly to FL and CA a few times a year. BDL is always at least $50-$100 more into Tampa and Irvine, whereas JFK, Stewart and Newark are always much less.
