Hi! Here are three photos of my authorship. Just in case any is wondering, I don't edit my photos and I'm not a professional photographer. Double click on the photos so you can see them in full size. Enjoy!
From left to right:
1. Cummings Beach @ Stamford. This is looking south towards Long Island, NY (the hills in the left-background is Long Island). On the right the quaint houses hug the exclusive Shippan peninsula shore.
2. The marina at Ponus Yacht Club @ Stamford. This photo was taken today from Kasciuszco Park in the South End neighborhood. In the background the Avalon condos in the Southfield/Waterside neighborhoods are clearly visible under an awesome sky.
3. Kasciuszco Park @ Stamford. The entire South End neighborhood (which encompases the South End peninsula) is going through a complete redevelopment, or at the very least, much of it is planned for redevelopment. The park was recently remodeled and it looks very nice. I was in complete shock since I had not been to this part of Stamford in years. One interesting feature are the solar panel powered light fixtures. Hopefully city hall fills the entire city with such lamps. It sends a good environment friendly message to everyone. In the background is the Pitney Bowes global headquarters (the pink-ish office building) and the top of the glass tower behind that is the new Trump Tower all the way in downtown.

First and foremost I want to apologize for the bad quality of the photos. I took these today, as soon as the rain ended, and I took all of them from my car. I don't have the courage to stop and take photos of peoples homes, especially when its homes of the upper crust, for that reason I took them from the car. However, I did managed to get a few nice shots and all of them will give you an idea of what much of Greenwich is like, despite the awkward angle of many.
1. Let's start with modesty, shall we... In other parts of the country a house like this might be relatively accessible to many folks, but here, we are talking millions just for the land.
2.
3. A little English flare...
4.
5. Greenwich's own little white house, or shall I say, palace. What the photo doesn't show is the fountain at the end of the long driveway. In the summer it looks like a palace in rural France or something along those lines.
6.
7.
8.
9. This one was actuallly built quite recently.
10. And this white cake is currently being built.
11. One more shot before the walls and gates go up.

Stamford Downtown
Stamford Downtown on Easter 2009. This batch of photos is mostly focused on a few of the high-rises.
1. Let's start with the quintessential sign of Stamford, the Landmark Tower. This was one of the first high rises to be built in Stamford in the 1960s and was the tallest building in the city until the 35-stories Trump Parc Stamford building came to the downtown scene (scheduled to be complete in July 2009). I think the Landmark building has a subdued elegance few buildings in Stamford (or anywhere for that matter) can match.
2. One of the requisites, according to the zoning laws of the city, is that builders must include a cultural display. The 300 Atlantic Street building (to the left of the photo - not visible) has this sculpture as its cultural contribution. Very unique. In the background on the left is the former GTE Building, now its home to UBS Warburg as is the former Champion Building (on the right). UBS Warburg is literally taking over downtown.
3. Scheduled to be completed in July 2009, here is the new tallest building in Stamford, and the second tallest residential building in Connecticut, the one and only Trump Parc Stamford. Its future residents will have a fabulous view of the Manhattan skyline. I also like the arquitectural design. It could had been a boring glass tower, but those white stripes and corner balconies give this tower a distinctive look and while the photos don't capture this, the sunlight tends to reflect in a way unlike any other glass tower in Stamford. Very cool building.
4. Looking south on Washington Boulevard. The white office building on the right is the Government Center, the brown round towers are the St. John's Apartment Towers. In between the St John's and Government Center buildings its clearly visible the North American headquarters of UBS Warburg (aka, Swiss Bank) with its (not visible in the photo) largest trading floor in the world. In case any Stamford natives living elsewhere are wondering, yes, the YMCA was closed and the building will be demolished and replaced with a new real estate project.
5. This park and monument is in honor of veterans who fought in World War II.

Aside from the Greenwich pictures has it changed your post in the perception thread?

I havent checked out the picture thread so I think I will do that
