Blackrock Turnpike in Redding, CT which runs parallel to the Hemlock reservoir.(see map below). It was a bright sunny hot day. Wish I had my regular camera.

The Hemlock Reservoir is not in Redding. It is in Easton and Fairfield. Redding is much further north on Black Rock Turnpike. Jay

Right. The pic was taken on Blackrock turnpike in Redding but the reservoir is further south, but does run parrell to the B.R Turnpike.. I can see how my statement can be confusing. Thanks for clearing it up

I thought his location was off a tad..my husband is from Fairfield and always talks about Black Rock Turnpike being there. This photo, however is gorgeous.

Thanks, it was nice with the spots of light shining through the trees. A pretty long stretch was like that.

To clarify.
1. I never said the photo was taken near the Reservoir
2. The map wasnt showing where the photo was taken but more where the Reservoir was along the B.R Turnpike.

Lets try again so nobody else is confused.

The picture was taken in Redding on Blackrock turnpike near the border of Easton a few miles from the Reservoir.. Blackrock turnpike runs parallel to the Hemlock Resrvoir in Easton.

Maybe this is better.

from my quick trip to Lyman Orchards..

taken with a brand new Canon PowerShot A4000 IS (16.0 MP, Digital, 8x zoom). bought it at Best Buy in May right as it was first released so it is the latest model. thought it was HD but it isn't for stills (720p for video). still takes decent pictures though.
