Seriously. Because that worked out so well last time. I'm not sure what world the union leadership lives in.

I wonder how state workers feel. I know a bunch of people who work for the state and they all received the notices. If I was them, take the 2 days furlough and keep your job.

They are talking about 3000 jobs lost. No way the private sector can obsorb that many new workers.

I hate to see people losing jobs especially since they have an offer on the table that will save them.

I work in a building housing a lot of DDS employees. At lunch they were talking about the notices they received. Also, couple in transportation and education.

Two furlough day is NOT going to save 5 billion dollars over the next 3 years or 220 million by July. I believe it's 2 furlough days plus cuts and opening the 2022 agreement. I predict, and I'm pretty good at it, Malloy sends out about 3000 official layoff notices hoping the unions will give in. That should be real interesting what happens next.

3,000 people visit the real employment world for the 1st time w/o stewards protecting them. Very healthy experience.

Malloy looks serious in the layoffs. Estimates of 1,900 jobs to be cut before June.

Apparently Malloy and his legislators are taking this deep red deficit very serious.
