Nobody outside eastern New England liked them when they sucked. Great "fans", huh?

Yes best fans anywhere, thanks for noticing. Biggest road draw in the game, seems like people can't get enough of them, including Hank.

Connecticut is nice...but
While all states have their fair share of problems, Connecticut's main issue is that it is extremely segregated with fairly affluent suburbs, coupled with predominantly lower income cities. Being born in CT and working there for ten years it is somewhat amusing that it can claim to be so very liberal, yet so very segregated. Many of the "liberals" are the ones who live in the affluent suburbs, an amazing contradiction. Anyways, it is my home and I do wish it well.

thought I could just read this but....
I read this entire thread, why, because I was raised in CT, moved to the south, then to the mountain states, then over seas, Italy to be exact, and now to the west coast, SF. I am fascinated with the commentary about one great little state, which btw I love. I have wonderful memories of CT; it's where I was born raised and spent a great deal of my life.
What is so interesting to me about this thread are the judgments made along the spine of the thread; as I read; I wondered where it would have gone if not for the moderator.
People are people everywhere you are/go/move, and one main difference from one state to the next is you bring yourself, your values, your judgments and sometimes your (our) ignorance with you.
And if you drop it, you may just find out it really doesn't matter. It's about you/me, not about the people you encounter. They just happen to be where you show up.

Believe it or not, the majority of Connecticut's affluent suburbs are overwhelmingly Republican (especially in Fairfield County and the Waterbury area.)

I disagree with this. Election returns in both congressional and Presidential returns will refute this. In Fairfield county there are some strong republican towns like Darien, Redding, Wilton, New Canaan etc. That are very wealthy. But wealthy towns also like Westport are liberal. In the Hartford area in the 2004 Presidential election Kerry easily carried more affluent towns like Avon, Farmington, West Hartford & Glastonbury.

How can we not be liberal we're the only state in the area that took Obama over hilary. Liberal is positive and progressive being conservative is like saying the world is great how it is. Lets just lower gas prices and taxes lmao. There's so much more going on than that and a smart state like CT realizes we need to make some real changes to positvely effect the world.

Maybe you like high taxes and fuel costs and a government safety net for everything in life but I don't.
At the risk of making this a political war, I'll simply say that your view of conservatives is wrong and leave it at that. If you want to DM me to know more about "the other side" feel free.
