I thought she was gone, but saw her this morning. The males have been gone for quite a while - perhaps left mid August.

I'm pretty sure mine are gone now... haven't seen them for a few days.

I'm kind of sad- I love fall and the early part of winter, but that stretch from mid-January until whenever nature decides to let up on us is pretty grim.

Just saw one of our female hummers at the feeder. So they're still with us, in the hills along the Housatonic River in NH County.

It's time to get out the feeders, clean them, and fill them! Hummingbird season is around the corner!

I had mine out all last summer but ne'er a hummer. Well, I'll get it out again but the best hummingbird feeder I ever had was a red geranium. They would come right up close and you could see them close up from the window.

We've never tried it without the red flower hanging pot next to it. I think that now we have the offspring coming back, because we've always had them, every year, ever since we started putting it out maybe ten years ago. My girlfriend in Simsbury put one out a couple of years ago, and had hummingbirds at it within a day.

They give us a great deal of enjoyment. Such a miracle of nature to watch.

Well, the feeder's been up almost a month, nary a hummingbirdie. Then we put up a really nice (and overpriced) Dipladenia hanging plant, with red trumpet flowers. Sure enough, birdie at the feeder within a day.
