Did you read the article?? Sate Rep Cruz said it, not HUD head Castro. Castro only said they should incentive developers to make more affordable options in higher end markets.

Their pattern has been to force it on more upscale towns by making the incentives better there, and worse in urban areas. Hillary will push that further, no doubt. This requires no Congressional approval.

Are you sure? This doesn't sound like it would be popular with anyone, since it inconveniences both wealthy and poor. I'm extremely skeptical.

I'm not even familiar with an antonym for "gentrification". I assume such a word doesn't exist because, until modern liberalism, the concept was so stupid as to not merit the effort. I suppose the closest we have is "a buyers market", hehe.
