I hope you don't wear leather shoes, belts, or coats; and surely you don't eat steaks, burgers, chicken strips, bacon, lamb chops, etc I mean THOSE animals really don't have a chance!...yes the man has a gun :O but the deer don't dance around saying shoot me!...I have been hunting since I was 12 and am now 46. I live in Alabama which has one of the largest deer populations in the country(number 3 in US I think). I have hunted seasons in which I never got a shot at a deer with a gun. I have went multiple years in a row with no bow shot. Now maybe I'm just not a very good hunter with my bad eyesight and hearing BUT your post insinuates that hunting is easy just walk in the woods and shoot-the attitude of the average anti-hunter who has never hunted. Have a great day in lala land.

I find it funny that anytime hunting or guns are brought up anywhere on the internet someone has an issue. I don't hunt and I don't care if you do as long as it's done in a responsible manner. My brother hunts and owns guns and I support him. Venison tastes good. Humans are omnivores by nature, so how can you deny eating meat. Take your bleeding hearts and go elsewhere.

What does this really have to do with Connecticut, maybe it should be moved somewhere else?? Or at the very least, PM's so the rest of us don't need to read private communications between members.

It has alot to do with CT as he's looking for places to hunt in CT. Since every post save yours was on topic perhaps you shouldn't open threads you cant add anything constructive too.

Geno,

I dont own any full automatics & hunt exclusively with lever actions.
I am familiar with fearless deer, but it only works once or twice like that.

I do alot of bowhunting here in suburban areas & if you have enough areas you can pile them up. a couple years ago I tagged 11. Gave a couple to charity & 4 to local clubs for game dinners & ate 5 of them.

Theres antler restrictions in PA arent there?

There are 30 other treads for you to read in the conn. zone, why don't you look at the title first then you won't have to read something you don't want to, or are you just complaining because thats what you do, and cant add to this tread?

Default Take Out an Ad

All the towns in Fairfield county have small community newspapers. These papers for Fairfield, Wilton, Weston, and Easton are all published by the same company. Their web address is:

Hersam Acorn Newspapers

Ad space can't be that expensive. Take out a small ad in the regular paper sections (not the classifieds) offering to hunt homeowner parcels and people will notice it and call you. Of course you will likely have to deal with calls from those interested and anti-hunters as alike, but I bet you will get responses and maybe some hunting opportunity out of it.

I am a homeowner there and have contacted people that have placed these ads so I know it could work for you (I make it a policy NOT to contact people based on the internet though).

This area is infested with deer. Last fall I came home from work early one afternoon and there were seven deer grazing my backyard. I was amazed. They leave droppings all over my lawn, and feast on my landscaping.

Both my son and I have contracted and had to be treated for Lyme. Nothing turns you to a hunting advocate faster than seeing your 6 year old have to undergo 30 days of treatment for Lyme (and we were lucky enough to notice it and catch it at the beginning).
