The only problem I see with the Greenwich houses is this. The houses that are in and about $3600 are on Main Roads. I had a boyfriend that lived on Sheep Hill and although nice I would not call it family friendly for little children. For your commute I would say yes, these houses/apartments in Greenwich are good. But for neighborhood atmosphere the areas I pointed out in Stamford would probably be better.

Really? I used to rent out my house in Riverside for 3400 and was happy with it. That was couple+ years ago. I probably should've kept it, could've got over 4K if what you say is true - oh well!

Go look at zillow or a real estate site. It is astonishing how high the rents are. Here are a few regular houses in old Greenwich.

$4550

$9000

(this house is a few streets away from Selleck Street in the West Side in Stamford)

$4,250

(this is a small 2 bedroom house not far from Selleck Street and the West Side of Stamford)

Most of the houses are thousands more than the OP's budget and they are not far from the West Side of Stamford.

It's amazing.

Definitely should have kept it! Riverside is pure gold right now.
