I know of one which is on Cemetery Road in Manchester. It's next to the On Ramp for Interstate 84 right off of Spencer Street. I don't think they have continuous hours. They just drive there, and open up whenever they feel like it. When I drive by around noon during the week I see them open for business.

Not sure if it's open yet, however: https://www.facebook.com/Family-Frie...&tab=page_info

It's a small business started and operated by a friend of mine's son who's developmentally disabled. Nick, the proprietor, is a great guy. I am eager to try it myself when he's operating.

I got a couple of hot dog s there recently. They were decent but I am not sure that is what the OP is looking for. This is just a hot dog cart and not really worth traveling for. I would think the OP is looking for a hot dog stand. There are several I can think of including Doogies on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington. I think they are the best around. There is also the venerable Augie and Rays on Main Street in East Hartford near Pratt & Whitney. Another great place is Harry's in Colchester and then there is Bart's in Windsor. I hope this helps. Jay

Doogies also owns The Clam Digger on Hartford Turnpike in Manchester (Just over the Vernon line). Same exact Doogie's hot dogs.
