It's been awhile since I've been back, so I don't know what things look like now, but over the years there have been periods of time when Main St. has looked a little bedraggled and in need of a facelift.

Some folks just like to bad-mouth without any basis in truth. Yes, it has had it's problems, but what small NE towns haven't suffered over the years from all the lost manufacturing and factory closures? I have nothing but good memories of growing up in a town where everyone knew everyone else, living on a street where us kids were free to roam and in the surrounding woods.

It sits in a beautiful area and I believe real estate is affordable. But again, it depends on what you need to live. I imagine jobs are scarce (just a guess on my part), so if you have to work, that's a consideration.
