Hotel Zero Degrees (independent boutique hotel) just opened on the westside of Danbury. I've stayed at their Stamford location -- very nice

I'm not sure if this relates to development of Danbury, but Mina's Carne is one of my favorite places in the state to eat. It's an amazing little Latin American deli on Osborne St near WestConn's midtown campus. I hope downtown development in Danbury is on the upswing for the sole purpose I'd like to see Mina's thrive.

Never tried it -- will have to check it out. On a separate matter I was devastated to learn of the closings of the Mimas meatballs restaurants last month-- all of the locations are now gone - Mill Plain (the original location), Ridgefield and the mall. It was such a great fast food alternative. I guess they tried to grow it too big, too fast. Sad.

There is still ongoing development. Starbucks wants to open a location at the Berkshire shopping center on Newtown Road. The Texas road house is going to be opening this summer. The Danbury orthopedic practice is moving to their new building that was just built over at Riverview Drive in the Berkshire corporate park. Residential devolpment is on-going up at the Rivington community. There is a small apartment complex underway on Scuppo Road.
