We recently moved to Wethersfield and my wife takes the bus from here to work in downtown Hartford everyday. It is very convenient but since I havent been in the US for too long, I seem to have a lot of questions on how safe it is for everyday commute.

CT transit has an excellent safety record as far as I know. You might contact them regarding any safety question on that specific route.

My husband has been taking the bus into Downtown Hartford (from the West Hartford border) for the past 3 years and there haven't been any safety issues (driving or otherwise) on the buses he's taken during that time. He has met a very nice group of "bus buddies" that he sees often and we socialize with.

CT Transit buses are very safe. I really have never heard of any issues with using them to commute into Hartford. Jay
