Sitting on the boat! Watching everyone scramble to get things done. Hoping to post a picture just like Clutch did on Wed morning.

Here's TWC's current more "muted" map. Gives you an idea of how far they think "mixing" will occur:

Whereas this is NWS's "expect at least this much" map, which reflects a lot of mixing in SE CT and eastern 2/3 of LI, but no further:

And their "most likely" map (the "max potential" map basically shows 2 feet except for far southeastern CT and far eastern LI, where it shows 12-18"):

Interesting. They seem to have Boston higher than NYC...contrary to NWS maps.

Maybe more Snow this weekend.

Latest GFS Data for Danbury..

Over 1.5" liquid falling cold enough for snow the whole time. Incredible.

Note the dews during the blizzard.
Note the 850mb temp drop end of week.
And note the snowstorm for weekend..

Most news stations in NYC are saying 8-12 now. A friend just texted that NYC public schools are closed tomorrow. I agree with the better safe than sorry approach but I'm shocked that 8 inches would close the public schools which used to NEVER close. There will be very angry parents on the news later for sure and angrier ones if we end up with 6-8 inches of snow.

This (the 'more this weekend' stuff) is what has me personally concerned - because of the drive I need to make. I could see a week ago that this particular storm was not going to be the end of it .. hence why I was looking for a 'window'. Keep us updated on that part when you can see what it might bring, please, Cambium.

Meanwhile .. for those hoping this all brings much white stuff to your area - I hope you get what you hope for and for those hoping it will all magically not materialize as forecast .. I also hope you get what you hope for. Watching it all with interest.
