I haven't been to Manchester pubs yet. Definitely will add that to the list!

Thank you!

Great! Thank you so much,Mr_250! I will definitely check out what downtown Southington is all about since I'm done with downtown Hartford. Looks like Ideal Tavern seems to be like my kind of atmosphere.

IF you are looking for a sports bar, there is The Diamond in Glastonbury. Also Shea's in Manchester. Jay

You mean Plan B in Spingfield? There's a Plan B in West Hartford.

And there is one in Glastonbury as well. It is right below Rooftop. The West Hartford one was the original. All the rest are branches. They are all very good. Jay

It is pretty much the same. I don't go there often but on occasion will meet friends there for lunch or a drink. Jay

I'll 2nd what Mr_250 said. Just park in the public lot and you can hit a lot of the places on foot. If Ideal Tavern is more your atmosphere than 75 Center may be to young for you. Also, Smoking with Chris is not bad for grabbing a beer and chatting with some locals. Two new breweries just opened in town within the past 2 weeks so you can always check them out although they close quite early. There are a lot of restaurants/pubs across town which haven't been mentioned yet, but the social scene can be hit or miss depending on the night. Even Hawks Landing gets going pretty good on Friday evenings during the summer. All depends on what you are looking for.
