Yet another bash Malloy thread. It is pretty clear the agenda of the OP in this.
Malloy got handed a bad hand here. The economy was awful, revenues were way down and the state has a serious pension funding crisis. I am not sure what he or any Governor could have done differently. I am NOT defending the guy but I also understand his problems.
I refuse to vote since the choices are so limited (you either HATE the guy or LOVE him, nothing in the middle). I would encourage others to do the same. Jay
What's my agenda then?????? If living in reality is an agenda, well then hell I'm guilty as charged. Nobody says you have to vote or even post in the thread.

Well you can skip this thread all together then. Looks like you covered everything you needed to know. Why post here then?
He complains about other governors kicking the can down the road, and then he does the same thing with this latest union deal. He needs to follow in the footsteps of George Constanza and do the opposite of what his instincts tell him.
I didn't vote because the options are too black and white. Malloy is not great by any means but many of CT's problems go beyond him. For example, GE leaving for Boston? That's a general national trend as our economy has shifted from low tech to high tech. All the companies want to be clustered in the high tech cities like Boston.
Tax revenue shortfalls from the rich? A national trend as people who earn their money through financial services have so many tax avoiding strategies that most other taxpayers do not.
Malloy still sucks, but there is a tendency to not place our problems in a wider context.

Malloy has consistently targeted rich taxpayers, and now the rich are either A)leaving or B)hiding their cash throw other legal means as you say through tax laws. The problem with malloy is he put all his eggs into one basket. Not very fiscally smart by any means.
