Agree... and not tranquil weather.

I always laugh when i see weather guys on TV going ...hopefully the storm will head out to sea....yea RIGHT

Everyone enjoy the next 3 or 4 days as temps stay above normal. After that LOOK OUT. All offices keep going colder...weather channel has snow showers in the forecast almost every day the period from 12/13 on with temps around freezing inland as highs most days..it wont be exactly that but clearly there will be cold air in place and lots of weather chances.

Cambium is gonna be busy!

Screen shot time! Yes, This Friday-Saturday snow possible. They should start introducing the flakes into the forecast now.

Looks like I will be busy tracking the cold and snow. And when was the last time we were able to say this in December...

Any snow that falls will stay on the ground for a while!

Here's for Wilton.. At least it's Progress..

Not only they got colder for end of week (as I've been saying for a week now) but now they have mostly cloudy for Friday. Had Sunny just this morning. lol My guess is they will put "chance of snow" in there soon.

We'll see... still 5 days away, they are playing conservative as usual.

Here's the 1pm discussion from them. This front is gonna be interesting. Strong winds, maybe thunder, dropping temps, heavy rain, some areas changing to snow.

National Weather Service Taunton MA

Change over to snow behind the cold front. Noted earlier, a cold
front with anafrontal characteristics with the main mid-level ascent
and associated vortmax rearward. .

It`s going to rain. Widespread with embedded heavier showers, can`t
rule out a rumble of thunder given the moist, theta-E profile from
the sub-tropics, conditionally unstable. Precipitable waters over
1.25 inches, +2 standard deviations. Rainfall amounts around 0.75
inches expected, some locations coming in around an inch, ensemble
means signaling the CT River Valley especially.

Friday onward...

Potential coastal storm Friday into Saturday. Seemingly quick moving
as an open wave, skirting S/E New England especially, rain/snow mix
possible, dependence on timing passage, daytime or nocturnal.

. Additional coastal storms are
possible, however specifics are highly uncertain given perturbations
in the flow that are poorly forecast so far out in time. Little to
now confidence from Saturday onward.

There go my flakes. Was hoping the Euro or Canadian model start agreeing with the GFS.... But as usual, the GFS starts agreeing with the Euro.

Storm center is elongated and precip shield doesn't reach us. Too far out.. But tis the season to where 100 mile shift makes the difference between snow or not.

There is another chance still on Saturday.

For Wilton... I knew they would be throwing it in. But now have "Partly Sunny" for Friday instead of mostly cloudy. All going to depend on where that front sits off the coast and how far off that coastal storm is!
