Starting to like the 28th-29th time frame for a snowstorm for us. Get this arctic air in place first and the chances will come. Euro and GFS showing it. Maybe another around New Years Eve. We might be reloading the pattern to how it was.

Enjoy this week!

Middle Numbers are the mean Max-Min temps next 15 days per EuroEPS.. Of course after Day 10 can change drastically. But looks cold after this week

A serious cold wave after Christmas...impressive. Weather channel has 9 straight days with high below 30. And thats as far as the extended goes.

What does "still have to get so much done" mean? You mean outside work or driving around getting errands done?

All I can say is keep the radar handy after 11am. Look at your temps. If above 32 than wont be ice.

Season snowfall totals to date so far.
Ignore the blue dots. Those are just stations that don't report snowfall or missing data.
Large Map.

Hartford: 6.1" (+0.1" above normal)
Bridgeport: 6.4" (+3.0" above normal)

Atlanta has more than Chicago still, almost end of December?

To name a few more:

Boston: 6.1"
Hartford: 6.2"
NYC: 7.0"
Philly: 7.7"
Richmond: 3.1"
Atlanta: 2.3"
Chicago: 2.1"

Errands for Christmas - food shopping, last minute gifts, that sort of thing. I just checked nbc’s forecast and it looks like the Danbury area will be south of the ice/freezing rain line, meaning plain rain for me. It’s not a straight line though. On the western edge of CT it looks like areas north of Kent will be freezing rain and ice, and then as you head eastward that line dips significantly south bring freezing rain to the Valley towns, and then the line starts trending northward again east of the valley. Should be an interesting Friday

Yeah - NBC30 on Facebook just said southwestern CT won’t get much of anything other than some rain. He drew a line from about Southington to Meriden to eastern CT - anything above that, travel looks tough.
