New Update is wetter/snowier.. And this doesn't include todays and tomorrows for MA and New England.

Well, I'm hanging out in Chelmsford MA today, and today's turned out to be a non-event. Had maybe a 0.5" dusting of snow, and I see the band has now pushed north anyway. Freezing rain might develop later since it's still only 25 F here.

Looks like there is a wall up at the MA border. Points north looks snowy. I think you'll see snow for a little first before the ice later. I don't think it was supposed to start this morning there though.

Christmas 2017 Snow Event

Euro just out, has all snow for Hartford. Really such a quick moving system that's lacking liquid.
Anywhere between 1/4-1/2" across the state will mean a 1-4" event. Coast still in question if all snow. I bet Bridgeport will be but Groton will not.

No big deal event but will set the holiday mood..

Also.. I don't think anything will melt for weeks. We might be looking at a long duration snow pack. Dare I say till a February thaw? Probably be January but I say we'll have snow on the ground from Christmas for at least 3 weeks!

Lets come back to this in the future..

Looks like its starting to fill in now across MA. Stay safe. Should be light but with temps in the 20s might get slick. 40s on Long Island.

Doesn't feel like rain is coming here. Hovering mid 30s all day

All the long term offices show the cold temps and have been for awhile. . I have to give them credit Accuweather especially) if this pans out.

Interesting weather channel has the equivalent of (If you add each day and night up) 12-16 inches in Danbury area for Dec 30th storm. Must be a lot of model agreement for them to do that this early/.

Nice! Yeah, it's like its been watching a boiling pot. Consensus was pretty consistent with this cold coming but feels like its taking forever to come. Meanwhile it's only been a week or so. lol Wonder how long it will last. If we get these 1 week break periods I don't think many will complain. But if its like February 2014 all over again, oh boy.
