What the heck is happening with these storms? Sudden burst of energy that ups the totals?

*not a forecast but taking into consideration.

If NAM and GFS come in juicier too NWS will increase their forecasts.

Noticed it's still very low to almost nothing along the coasts (especially on LI, but even in NYC and coastal CT, especially southeastern CT (i.e. New London area). Does the Euro think more rain will mix in in these places? Or do they think the storm is stronger/has heavier snow further north.....

What's the timing on the storm? Tuesday night into Wednesday or Tuesday into Tuesday night?

Rain. Saw nyc data from euro and has near 40 for start of it. I think changes over though. I seen enough times where CT coast is snow and Long Island rain so I wouldn't be surprised.

So hard to forecast. If its 4 degrees cooler than forecast before it starts it might not rain at the coast.

Theres a clipper, a front, and a coastal. So hard to know when the start, Bulk and stop is.

I think starts Tuesday afternoon and ends Wednesday morning.

So NWS has put an Winter Weather Advisory for inland parts of NY and NJ (i.e northern half of Westchester County) but nothing by OKX for any part of CT. Strange....since BOX now has Winter Storm Watch extended southward to northern half of CT

To be honest, I just looked over multiple models, I don't see rain for the coast. I also noticed the start time is later..

Litchfield County will start Tuesday after noon but rest of CT in evening. End by mid morning.

Pretty sure there will be delays Wednesday morning with school and maybe work if you're blocked in.

BTW .. Started a thread to cover the rest of the states involved with this storm. lol

Here's a loop from the latest Hi Res NAM model from 1pm tomorrow to 1pm Wednesday.

Looks like a quick hitter. It's showing 8 hours of snow for New Haven area. 1am - 10am WEDNESDAY!

About 10 hours worth for Litchfield county.
