Just spent a couple weeks traveling the waters of CT/RI and Mass coasts via boat.. (365+ miles on the water)

Some observations:
- The FOG from the Westbrook CT area to Monomoy in Mass comes and goes like crazy... fog so thick you can't see across a normal road width.
- Crazy how the weather is going nuts here in FFC but by the time it gets to Block Island, it's gone? and just a little sprinkle.
- The predictability of storms coming through SWCT is nice. All bets were off East of Westbrook, I'd watch the radar and multiple forecasts to decide when to go to the next destination and it was apparent that it was much more of a guessing game vs FFC where at least it's usually accurate.

On a side note
I hear there's a chance of a hurricane forming... here we go again.

Glad you asked. I been working on putting together some info, might as well share some now... El Nino's typically mean a warm winter but more snow chances. This winter could be neutral phase or could be a weak La Nina again. No El Nino.

So, 7 of the last 9 winters has had above normal snowfall at Bridgeport, CT. WOW.

Last 5 Neutral Phases

2005-06: 35.0": +7.4 above norm
2008-09: 43.1": +15.5 above norm
2012-13: 64.3": +36.7 above norm
2013-14: 57.4": +29.8 above norm
2014-15: 59.7": +32.1 above norm

Last 5 Weak La Nina's

1984-85: 19.7": -7.9 below norm
1995-96: 75.7": +48.1 above norm
2000-01: 55.3": +27.7 above norm
2011-12: 13.6": -14 below norm
2016-17: 40.9": +13.3 above norm

Spent the whole day in my late autumn jacket. This is terrible. Work still has the AC on, the building owner is real cheap and doesn't have it set like a normal place where heat and AC just alternate depending on temperature. Hate this cold weather.
