If you look at the radar loop from earlier you'll see how the rain just Developed and streamed in off the sound. Wasnt like it was coming from the Atlantic.. of course there was moisture coming in but...

There was strong converge over the area which led to all this heavy intense stuff.

Also, anytime moisture moves south to north I noticed we get more than normal. Thats cause its slowest to move out.

2:50-6:50pm loop. Watch the intense stream of moisture come from NYC and feed into CT.

Now a new line coming across NJ with flooding reports showing up around Philly and Trenton.

Eastern CT about to get the heavy stuff now

Cove road, Stamford. I know exactly this spot. It ponds and floods easily but obviously with 4" of rain in couple hours this happened..

Click and see the video replies of the rescue happening

Now the question is is this Norwalk a cold rain or a muggy rainfall for CT?

New York City is getting the rain with mid-70s and 100% humidity and tomorrow will be summer-like with lots of humidity.

But for Hartford it feels like a chilly fall-like rain

Can’t wait to see the totals, I’ve never seen my lawn this flooded or a river running down my street.
