10 degrees for New Britain's 06052. WGAN-AM 560 of Portland, ME just quoted 6 degrees. Oh...I just stayed overnight at the Clarion Hotel on Congress Street. Ayuh!

1981-2010 Normal for 1st week of March is 35.8°. Currently at 30.5° with today left to record. So we are well below normal.


Here's a look at the last 9 yrs for 1st week of March. Beginning of the decade was warm averaging upper 30s & 40s this time of year. Starting 2014 it just took a cold turn.





1st week of March is getting colder and colder on average now. We aren't having 40s anymore like the late 90s early 2000s

Looking good with d-----t here. Closest area of concern right now is the Carolina coastline. mostly on the South Carolina side.
