Default town elevation

I was told that our town center (Main Street) had the highest elevation of all towns on the East Coast. The town is Ridgefield Connecticut. Anyone have any info?

Ridgefield is at 659 feet

The Town of Ridgefield consists of hilly, rocky terrain, ranging from 1,060 feet above sea level (at Pine Mountain) to 342 feet at Branchville. Its village is between 800 and 720 feet above sea level, and is said to be the loftiest town center between Boston and Washington.

Perhaps this answers your question.

As I alluded to in my above post it stands as the 'highest town center' between Boston & Washington.

What about Norfolk, CT? It's located at 1230ft above sea level. What do you mean by East Coast..b/c then also I'm sure some towns out in the Berkshires or VT or NH or the Appalacians have a higher elevation too.

In my research, I also found that Ridgefield has the "loftiest" town center between Boston and Washington. I would like to know how this compares with towns even further north (as far as Maine) and to the south (as far as Florida). Thanks for your responses.

Bluefield, WV I believe is the highest incorporated town east of Denver, CO at 2611 feet above sea level.

I can't believe that it has the highest elevation between Boston and Washington. I have family in NY State and I just looked up the elevation of their town center and it is 1339 ft. It is just about dead west of Boston. Your original post though stated the East Coast not just between Boston and Washington.
