Westport has the best downtown of those by far with the best dining, scenery, the Levitt, all combined with the riverfront and Riverside Ave, no match. New Canaan is pretty good, some good dining and the more New Englandy feel. Darien is just ok, the main strip is impassable with car congestion at times that makes it beyond annoying. Fairfield is ok, a little sterile. Greenwch would be better if you could walk or drive more than a foot without bumping into another car or human.

We just moved to Weston and have to drive 20 minutes to get to anything. Shopping, dr.s, etc. If you don't mind living in the woods, Weston is perfect for you. We've only been one school year and I am not entirely impressed with the schools. I have a child in 3 of the 4 here. Best wishes. Danbury is so nice!

Which is somewhat odd, since Weston consistently ranks at or near the top in most school surveys.
