Anyone used the Orkin man?
What do you think of the company Orkin man(pest control)? I have an issue in my house with some unwelcoming guests and I wanted to call in this company to take care of them. I have heard they can get expensive but at this point my peace of mind is more important. Has anyone used their services?
If you know of any other pest control company in Avon and the surrounding areas please PM me.
Thanks

Field mouse/mice. Yikes! We live in a condo complex and there are lots of woods around us and we noticed some droppings inside the townhouse where we live(I am a clean freak too btw). Apparently, from the people I spoke to around here(Avon), they don't seem to make a big deal. Sounds like they are used to them. We've put some traps but I wanted someone professional to come and take a look at some potential openings where they could be coming from and close them off.
We are only renting here and I have already advised my landlord. I even considered moving out of here but I think I may have this problem anywhere else in this area. And I can't have cats because I am allergic to them.

Oh. Well i dont have tons of experience with it, though i had mice in my last rental, (though our cat took care of that.) I would call Orkin and just see what they would charge for something like that. If it's in your budget at least let them have a look, and if you dont feel they know what they're talking about look elsewhere. But i would think it's a large enough company to be pretty reliable.
Good luck in your search

IMO it's the landlords responsibility to make sure the building is secure from outside critters so if there are "holes" in the structure etc I would present that to the building owner.
I still believe the good old spring loaded mouse traps are the best. They are effective and humane - the rodent doesn't know what hit it, it's just "lights out". Please please please do not use the "glue" traps.
Whoever came up with those was just evil.

The high-frequency plug in devices work very well. I tried traps, and sealing holes but mice can squeeze in some very small places. It wasn't until I got the plug-ins that they stopped coming.
