UCONN!!!!

I currently am senior at uconn and living my last year out from an apartment in Willimantic. Close to tons of shopping and right on the eastern ct state univerisity campus. its WAY cheaper than storrs/mansfield and i can make it to campus in 10 min on the back rounds. Willimantic has a couple of bars, theres 3 on campus at uconn, and hartford is about 25 min away with good night life scene. Willimantic may not be the best area but i have no problems and i think if you live near the eastern campus its mostly other college kids anyway so you should be fine

I've narrowed it to Manchester and Willimantic.

I take it with Manchester it is a very nice place...safe...quiet...but convenient to both UCONN and Hartford.

I take it Willimantic is conveninet as well to UCONN and Hartford plus a good nightlife?

Here is what my ideal town would be, it would have a nice, quiet, low key affordable section close to amenities....convenient to campus....and not isolated from bars/social scene.
Does Manchester fit?
I just don't want to be secluded away from people my age BUT I don't want a noisey place as well.

I think that you might like Vernon/Rockville more than either Manchester or Willimantic. It's located at a distance in between the others and is located off of I-84.
The Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester is just down I-84 as is Hartford, and this is opposed to having to commute the more rural route I-384 between Manchester's backside & UConn. Manchester might not be as quiet as Vernon, and Willimantic offers the worst accessibility to Hartford, and almost any other location except UConn.
From Vernon, you can easily commute back to the Storrs area for nightlife options too.
When a person must choose whether to live in Willimantic, Manchester, Vernon/Rockville or out in the sticks, it all boils down to personal preference and the individual housing situation.
