I think homelessness is just a sunshine tax. If you're penniless and homeless would you rather be in FL or CT in January? I think California has tons of homeless people too--and CA seems different in almost every other way from Florida.

I'd still love to move down there just for the warmer climate but my job (in social services) pays literally half of what it pays here. Even if the cost of living is lower....I still think I'd be pretty much poor.
