This seems odd, considering the Greenwich/Stamford to Westport stretch is far worse than Westport to Bridgeport, and it didn't make the list. Why would they use 136 in Westport as a start/end point?

Just goes to show this is another bogus list.

What's 136? I had to googlemap it, so basically Westport.

I agree. Greenwich to Westport is much worse than Westport to Bridgeport. Jay

Whatever, whether between 136 and there, or there and Greenwich, between Greenwich and here and there, all bad. Bad is bad.
Still, not nearly as bad as all those robust major cities in the top 10.

Actually it is saying that Stamford is the 22nd worst in terms of number of different "traffic hotspots". Interesting that they made it separate from the metro NY area (which was still #1, though L.A. was considered to have worse delays, just less spots having delays), and as others noted that they would consider from Bridgeport to Westport the "worst spot".

Maybe everything west of Stamford (including Greenwich) was lumped as a NYC area traffic hotspot.

Stamford - Bridgeport is the worst. Period. Greenwich is moot.
They're probably factoring in all the drivers who filter down into Bridgeport and Westport from the boonie towns to the north and jam up that stretch

What they did is break down each metropolitan area and identify the worst spot in each. So the list has the worst spot in LA, New York, Washington DC, etc. competing against each other. It is odd that they did not include Stamford in New York though. They also have a list of all of the worst spots in the country but that is mostly just highway spots in major cities including LA and New York. Not sure where I-95 falls into that. Jay
