Hello! Do any of you lovely contributors have much current experience with either EMS or GHS? Moving from academically selective private schools in the UK and interested to understand what the differences are between these schools and the local private schools. Thank you.

no personal experience, but I do know eastern is the highest performing middle school in greenwich and property values in the eastern section of town reflect that. I know a few people that went to EMS + GHS (from OG and riverside) and are doing quite well now.

as far as local private schools the only ones I can think of in greenwich are brunswick, greenwich academy, and greenwich country day (preK-9). Greenwich academy is girls only and performs quite well academically; I would assume it has a good social/professional network as well. Brunswick is more of a mid-tier private school and I am *personally* not sure if it is worth the cost if you are already living in Greenwich.

Brunswick is rated either 4th or 5th best private school depending on the source.... of all the 449 private schools in CT ... all the schools rated above it are elite boarding schools... Brunswick is the highest rated private day school in the state and has the lowest acceptance rate of the top 10. Greenwich Academy is rated just below it... which makes sense since both schools share faculty

Ah I stand corrected. In the circles I’m in Brunswick is rarely mentioned so I assumed it was a notch below the likes of Taft, Choate, Loomis, Hotchkiss, Hopkins, Kent etc
