Do you keep up with the news. A tax on carried interest is forthcoming.

At least he sank with the ship. Malloy sold his house and once he leaves office, it's almost guaranteed he's leaving the state the same way Rell did.

Malloy flat-out lied when he was running for re-election. He kept insisting the state had a surplus in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Then, shortly after he was re-elected he informed everyone that, oops, that surplus is actually a deficit of over a billion dollars.

Equally unimportant, when your state has been amongst the worst at recovering jobs lost during recession during Comrade Malloy's reign of error.

When his answer has been one tax hike after another.

When corps warned him not to raise taxes, he did, they fled, and he whined over what should have been expected results.

He now ranks 50th in popularity amongst governors, a ranking he earned each and every day.

Just like:

What corporations "fled" because of tax increases? GE did not say anything about taxes in their announcement of moving to Boston, where they were lured by massive incentives and the taxes are only marginally less. The same for Alexion and the now canceled Aetna move. Henkel just moved their consumer products division here from Arizona. CVS/Aetna has made a major commitment to our state. UTC, Sikorsky and Electric Boat are expanding here. Does not sound like companies fleeing to me. I am not saying our business taxes are low or should be increased but the only the two major company moves we have had said nothing about taxes as their reason for leaving. Jay

This, precisely. It has nothing to do with our economic conditions, which was inevitable regardless of who’s in office. He’s one of the most dishonest and manipulative politicians out there.

Actually a porcupine, as Colin McEnroe calls him!

A recent NYT time pointed to Connecticut as the model state for gun control laws.
In short, he's coming up on 8 years in office and has set us back financially rather than ahead. While not all the money problems we have are his fault, he is CT's leader so a lot of the responsibility falls on him.
