Default Commute from Bridgeport to Old Greenwich

Hi,
I am originally from Southeastern CT so am fairly unfamiliar with commute times in Fairfield County. I see the traffic at rush hour on 95 and am uneasy about interviewing for jobs all the way in Greenwich. Does anyone know how long the commute would be with traffic for a 9am-6pm job travelling from Black Rock, Bpt to Old Greenwich? Thanks!

Without traffic it would take about 30 minutes, but during the times you would be traveling it would be a lot longer. Probably over an hour on a good day. I would consider taking the train. You would need to catch a train in downtown Bridgeport or Fairfield, then switch to a local to get to Old Greenwich. Good luck, Jay

I agree with Jay about taking the train, however it all depends where in Old Greenwich you may work (unless you don't mind a little walk). Fortunately, Old Greenwich is the first section of Greenwich you'll reach after going through Stamford. So if you do take the train, you can switch to a local in Stamford then take it to the next stop. I'm not sure how public transportation is after you get off the train, but I'd explore taking metro-north if you can.
