I am probably relocating to CT asap from southern NJ. I am in the social services field and am looking for possible advice on job searching and also apartments rentals. I'm looking to be as close to the southern western tip as possible, no further than new haven county and something reasonable in terms of renting. I am single with a child, and I've heard wonderful reviews of trumbull. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Lost - Social service jobs do not pay well and that is a problem in southwestern Connecticut since the cost of housing there is so expensive. Most of these jobs are centered around the major cities like Stamford (closest to New York), Norwalk, Bridgeport and New Haven. Rentals in these places will also be the least expensive. Of those cities listed, stmaford would be the most expensive and New Haven the least to live in. Hope this helps. Jay
